Refund Policy

Set Box Jamaica (“we”, “our”, “us”) provides freshly prepared Jamaican meal boxes to customers across the UK. Due to the perishable nature of our products, specific rules apply to refunds, cancellations, and subscription modifications.

 

Please read this policy carefully before placing an order or subscribing.

1. Refunds for Perishable Food Boxes

All boxes (1 Day, 7 Day, Monthly) contain fresh food ingredients.


For food safety reasons:

✖️We do NOT accept returns of any food products.

✖️Refunds cannot be issued once the box has been delivered or dispatched.

✖️Refunds cannot be issued if the delivery fails due to incorrect or incomplete address information provided by the customer.

This is standard for perishable goods under UK Consumer Law.

2. 1 Day Box (Non-Subscription) — Refunds & Cancellations

✔ Cancellations BEFORE Order Preparation

If you cancel before the box is prepared, you may request:

  • A full refund minus any processing fees
    OR

  • A free date change to a new delivery day

✖️Cancellations AFTER Preparation Begins

Once ingredients have been purchased or the box has been prepared:

  • Refunds cannot be issued

  • Delivery cannot be rescheduled

This is because the food is fresh and cannot be reused.

3. 7 Day Subscription — Refunds & Cancellations

✔ Subscription can be cancelled at any time, but:

Your cancellation will take effect on the next billing cycle.

You will NOT receive a refund for:

  • The current week already charged

  • Missed deliveries caused by unsubmitted meal selections

  • Delivery failures due to incorrect address or customer unavailability

✔ Skipping a Week

If you need to skip a week:

  • Contact us before your meal selection deadline

  • We will pause your upcoming delivery

This does NOT issue a refund; it simply moves your subscription forward.

4. Monthly Subscription — Refunds & Cancellations

✔ You may cancel at any time, but:

Your cancellation will take effect from the next monthly billing cycle.

Refunds cannot be issued if:

  • The monthly box has already been prepared

  • The delivery date has been confirmed

  • Ingredients have been purchased

  • Your box is already in transit

Monthly subscribers may request to move their delivery date, if the request is made before preparation begins.

5. Failed Deliveries (No Refunds)

Refunds cannot be issued if delivery fails because:

  • The address provided was incorrect or incomplete

  • No safe-place instructions were provided

  • No one was available to receive the delivery

  • The courier followed delivery notes and the box was left safely

Food cannot be returned or redelivered due to safety regulations.

6. Problems With Your Order

If there is an issue with your delivery (missing items, damaged packaging, wrong box received):

Contact us within 24 hours of delivery.

We will review the issue and may offer:

  • A partial refund

  • A replacement item

  • A discount on your next box

This is handled case by case.

7. Meal Selection Responsibilities

Subscribers must submit their weekly or monthly meal selections before the cut-off time.

Refunds will not be provided if:

  • No meals were selected in time

  • Default meals were sent

  • Delivery was delayed due to missing selections

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy at any time.


Any changes will be posted with an updated “Last Updated” date.
