Callaloo

Steam Callaloo is a traditional Jamaican vegetable dish, wholesome, flavourful, and deeply rooted in island cooking. Made with fresh callaloo when in season, or carefully prepared canned callaloo when fresh isn’t available, this dish delivers rich, savoury flavour with every bite.
 
Gently sautéed with onions, bell peppers, spring onions, garlic, ginger, thyme, and pimento, the callaloo is slowly steamed to allow the flavours to blend beautifully. Lightly seasoned with warm spices and optional Scotch bonnet for gentle heat, it offers a tender texture and earthy depth that’s both comforting and nourishing.
